Vegas + WPPI

I am back from Vegas and had a blast! I think my lungs have finally recovered from inhaling so much cigarette smoke. I guess that was what it was like before they banned smoking in public places. Anyway, I had a blast, met some really great people, and saw new + exciting products! I cannot wait to began incorporating what I learned into the biz. I did not take many photos on my adventure, but the few I shot I used my Canon PowerShot SD890…the point&shoot is so convenient. On a side note…2009 brides, make sure to schedule your e-sessions soon..my calendar is filling up quickly and I want to make sure to have you in the books in plenty of time before your wedding!

Happy Valentine’s

I hope everyone has a Happy Valentine’s Day! I am super excited to be attending the WPPI, which stands for Wedding and Portrait Photographers International. It is the largest photography convention and trade show out there. It will be my first time to attend so wish me luck. I will be back in the office on Thursday to answer any phone calls or emails.

Nikki + Justin e-session

I had my first engagement session this year today and had so much fun! It is nice to have a break, but I was definitely ready to shoot. I met Nikki and Justin here in Birmingham and found some really neat spots. When I spoke with Nikki she was more into a “naturey” feel (I just made up a word, haha). Anyway, I had a blast and love what I captured. I am looking forward to the wedding in March…only three weeks away! :)

Mr. Chip

Yesterday was so beautiful! I took a short break and took Chip outside to play. This dog eats, sleeps, and breaths to play with his toy. He was being so sweet I decided to get my camera out and take a couple of shots of him. He didn’t seem to mind at all…as long as I threw his toy after each shot. ;)

No Trespassing….

This past weekend Bo and I went home to visit with our families. It was such a warm beautiful day…I wish it would stay that way. I asked Bo to take a couple shots of me since I haven’t had any taken since this summer. There is this great field with this old block house that I have wanted to photograph in, so we decided to go there. Well, we hadn’t been there but just a couple minutes and a four wheeler was speeding through the field, we were asked to leave the property. :( You know what they say “It’s better to ask forgiveness than permission.” Oh well, we did get a couple shots. :)

The Whole Gang – family session

Ok, I know all of you who check this blog regularly remember sweet baby Maddux, Christy, and Matt. Well, right after Christmas Christy’s Mom, Dad, brother, and sister & her family drove from Oklahoma for a visit. Christy contacted me to do a family portrait, which they have never had done with everyone in it. Christy’s brother is a high school senior so we took a couple senior shots too. I had so much fun getting to know everyone and photographing you guys!
