Erin+Derrick were married June 12, 2010 at Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Vestavia, AL. I LOVED working with these two. They have been together for four years and met in a history class at Berry College. They decided to see each other before the wedding and I absolutely LOVED their reaction! So SWEET! Their reception was held at Vestavia Country Club. We decided to sneak out of the reception for a few more shots…so glad we did…the light was gorgeous!!! Here are a few of my favorites!

I was so excited to finally photograph this awesome family today! We have been trying to schedule since February for Cohen’s 1 year session. We finally made it happen, which makes me and mommy so happy! This family has a special place in my heart. We met in a couple’s small group at Church of the Highlands right before Cohen’s arrival. He has grown so fast. Definitely a ROCK STAR….watch out ladies!

Hannah + Eddy had the sweetest outdoor wedding. I love the rustic country feel that was throughout the entire wedding. The married April 10 at Camp Sumatanga. What a gorgeous location! Not only is it a gorgeous location, but it is where Hannah’s parents were married! Hannah + Eddy’s first look was right where they had their wedding ceremony! Once we started, we walked a little bit around the lake and then headed up to the chapel at the top of the mountain, such an amazing view! During the ceremony Eddy sang to Hannah, everything about them is so sweet! Then we headed back down to the reception which was decorated by Hannah and her mom! They are so talented! Bo and I had an awesome time working with you guys! Congratulations!

I drove up to Athens to meet Anna+Andy for their engagement session a little over a week ago. This was during the process of Bo and I working like crazy to get our new home(well, not so “new”, but new to us) ready for us to move into by the end of March. Anyway, Anna+Andy was a breathe of fresh air. They were so fun, sweet, in love, and a blast to photograph. They brought along Patton, their sweet boxer that I kept calling “Drake”. I have the tendency to give my clients and their pets new names, not sure why. Please forgive me for that, lol! Anna had some great ideas and locations for their session. One being a truck that her late grandfather had restored. It was the last truck he finished before he passed. It is something very sentimental to their family. Her father had to sell it a few years ago, but luckily it was to a family friend that Anna still has contact with. She is surprising her father with these photos…LOVE it! I cannot wait for the wedding in Nashville this June!
S+R contacted me a few weeks ago to set up an engagement session. Their wedding is this May. I was excited they asked me to shoot their engagement session. We ended up going to the same park where the proposal took place! I had so much fun with you two! I know the wedding is going to be beautiful…congrats!
I can’t even begin to explain how EXCITED I am to be working with this couple! You know sometimes when you meet someone you have this immediate connection…somehow you know God sent them into your life! I have been fortunate to have had this opportunity happen several times through my business (another reason I LOVE what I do)and Shana+Tom are no exception! When I first met Shana, I knew we clicked! I am beyond thrilled that they have chosen me as their wedding photographer and I cannot wait to capture their wedding day! We met this past Saturday morning for breakfast at The Original Pancake House and then opted for a quick mini e-session before heading over toThe Chili Cook-off in Homewood. It was a wonderful morning, so glad you asked us to hang out! Bo and I had a great time getting to know you both! Just 18 more days till the BIG day!

I was so excited when Stephanie asked me a few months ago about doing a session with her hubby and his sister and brother-in-law! We had a hard time getting our schedules and the weather to work out, but we finally got together this past weekend and the weather was perfect…makes me wish Spring would hurry up and get here! Bo and I met Stephanie+Doug a little over a year ago in one of our small groups at Church of the Highlands. We were still in the same small group until a few weeks ago when we found out Doug accepted a job in Prattville. We are so happy for them, but will miss seeing them on Monday nights! I had a great time with you guys Sunday!
This family was a blast! We tried to get together before Christmas, but the weather and our schedules never worked out. We met earlier this week and the weather was beautiful, just freezing! I love how much personality and pizazz they have. They were so much fun to photograph! I look forward to working with you guys again soon!
